Preventing Spreading Diseases

An infectious diseases is scientifically proven disease caused by microbes that are pathogens (called as pathogenic microbial agents).

These are of multiple types.
Pathogenic bacteria, causes diseases such as plague, anthrax and tuberculosis
Protozoa, causing diseases like malaria, toxoplasmosis and sleeping sickness
Fungi, causes infections like ringworm, candidiasis or toxoplasmosis
Pathogenic viruses cause diseases like influenza, yellow fever or AIDS, which are basically not living organisms and are not microorganisms

These agents can cause diseases in animals or plants or both. These are usually qualified as communicable diseases ( also called contageous diseases) as they have the capabilities of transmission from one person to many others.

This transmission can happen in multiple ways. Air, physical contact, food, blood transfusion, body fluids or through contaminated objects

Avian Influenza: Bird flu is an infection caused by avian (bird) influenza (flu) viruses. Theses flu viruses occur naturally among birds.

Wireless Power Transmission

Wireless power transmission has been a dream since the days when Nikola Tesla imagined a world studded with enormous Tesla coils. But aside from advances in recharging electric toothbrushes, wireless power has so far failed to make significant inroads into consumer-level gear.
What is it? This summer, Intel researchers demonstrated a method--based on MIT research--for throwing electricity a distance of a few feet, without wires and without any dangers to bystanders (well, none that they know about yet). Intel calls the technology a "wireless resonant energy link," and it works by sending a specific, 10-MHz signal through a coil of wire; a similar, nearby coil of wire resonates in tune with the frequency, causing electrons to flow through that coil too. Though the design is primitive, it can light up a 60-watt bulb with 70 percent efficiency.
When is it coming? Numerous obstacles remain, the first of which is that the Intel project uses alternating current. To charge gadgets, we'd have to see a direct-current version, and the size of the apparatus would have to be considerably smaller. Numerous regulatory hurdles would likely have to be cleared in commercializing such a system, and it would have to be thoroughly vetted for safety concerns.
Assuming those all go reasonably well, such receiving circuitry could be integrated into the back of your laptop screen in roughly the next six to eight years. It would then be a simple matter for your local airport or even Starbucks to embed the companion power transmitters right into the walls so you can get a quick charge without ever opening up your laptop bag.

The display alternately shows images for the left and right eyes. The left and right lenses of the eyewear open and close in sync with this display timing to show separate images to the left and right eyes. By repeating this action at high speed, the brain perceives 3D images. And because this method displays FULL HD 3D images just as they are, both eyes receive 3D images in high, full-HD quality.
VIERA Connect allows users to enjoy video and music, sports, games, and a variety of other content in addition to the standard movies and TV programmes on a high-quality large-screen TV through the simple operation of a remote control. The cloud-based Internet service also supports interactive services using applicable equipment as well as an Internet-based shopping function that allows such equipment to be purchased straight from the TV.
In addition to increasing the generated frames from 50 to 200 frames per second, backlight control has evolved through area splitting. The backlight's fine blinking reduces afterimages, to produce smooth, fast movements without blurring. Sports scenes, action scenes and other fast-motion images are crisp and clear.
The browser supports HTML5 pages, so you can browse the Internet much like you do with a PC. Unlike a PC, though, the large screen allows the whole family or a group of friends to comfortably view a wide variety of content.
A DLNA-compatible VIERA makes network connection super easy. It makes content easy to share by linking equipment over a home network. Content can also be shared on a variety of equipment, which greatly expands the number of connectable devices and playback formats. Various types of content, such as recorded TV programmes, photos, motion images and music, can be enjoyed in different rooms or on a smartphone.

New IPS4 series monitors

LG Electronics (LG) has announced the availability of a new line of monitors, the IPS4 series. These monitors feature In-Plane Switching (IPS) rather than conventional Twisted Nematic (TN) panels, allowing for better colour reproduction, picture quality and colour shift-free wide viewing. Thanks to a wide viewing-angle (178 degrees), the new IPS monitors enable viewers to enjoy clear picture quality without any colour shift whether they are sitting, standing or lying down. Their ‘Smooth Colour Change’ also eliminates blur generated from rapid motion in action scenes, sports or video games so that viewers feel less eye fatigue even during longer viewing sessions. When all of these technologies are combined, the result is a richer, more comfortable viewing experience.
The IPS4 series monitor
The IPS4 series monitor

By boosting colour consistency and minimizing colour changes, the IPS4 series is able to reproduce original colours, virtually eliminating the gap between what is shot and what is shown. As such, the IPS4 monitors are ideal for anyone engaged in photography or video editing. "Despite strong sales and dominating the professional market, IPS monitors were less popular with the majority of consumers due to the cost of high-quality IPS panels," said J.J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of IT Business Unit of LG Home Entertainment Company. "With the launch of the affordable IPS4 series, LG is taking a huge step in making IPS monitors ubiquitous in every room."

A number of easy-to-use functions add to the appeal of the IPS4 series. For instance, the Dual Smart Solution feature uses a simple one-click set-up to run dual monitors, and even creates a dual taskbar and auto-optimized dual web split screen. The Dual Screen feature optimizes the window size to automatically divide the screen to view multiple web pages, making it easier to multitask online. Efficiency has also been improved. The monitors are equipped with a cable management design that does away with the messy snarl of wires. The IPS4 series is much more energy-efficient compared to conventional LED monitors without sacrificing picture quality.

LG's IPS4 series will first become available in Asia in May followed by Europe and North America in the coming weeks.

View of Moola Brindavana at Mantralaya

Shunku Karna (A Devta) was cursed to be born, into the world, as Prahladha, son of demon king Hiranyakashyapu, who had extreme devotion to Sri Hari. Lord Hari took Narashima Avtara to Kill the demon King (his father) .In his next birth, he was born , as Bahlika during the Period of Mahabharatha, he fought against the pandvas, but he was a great Hari Bhaktha, he was willing to die at the hands of Bheema (One of the Pandavas). In his Next birth, he was destined to be one of the the great Madhwa saints, Vyasaraja . Displeased with the amount of seva he performed for Hari, he was born again as Venkatanatha, who became Guru Raghavendra, one of the greatest madhwa saints. Guru Raghavendra is not visible to us now but was visible to Sir Thomas Munroe, the collector of India about 150 years ago when British Ruled India. He is very much present in the Brindavan alive (in athma form) at Mantralayam to this 332nd year of entry into his Brindavan as on 15.8.2003.He is still performing many miracles ,it is said Deserving Blind get their Sight, Deserving Deaf and Dumb hear and Speak, all evils vanish by saying "OM SHRI RAGHAVENDRA" with devotion and by pleasing Guru Raghavendra . For more information on the content in this page, please see the links or E-mail me, I would be glad to be in the service of my Guru . Devotees pray to Sri Raghavendra by chanting the famous shloka "...pUjyAya rAghavendrAya satyadharmaratAya cha | bhajatAM kalpavR^ixAya namatAM kAmadhenave ||durvAdidhvAntaravaye vaishhNavendIvarendave |shrIrAghavendragurave namo.atyantadayAlave ||". Sri Raghavendra is considered to be magnanimous and benevolent. Countless devotees of his testify to the miracles he has performed (humble attempt has been provided, to elaborate a few in the miracles page). In this site we have also attempted to represent the sentiments of devotees, of Guru Raghavendra rather than representing him as just another Madhwa scholar as portrayed in other Web Sites. For a complete Life history of Guru Raghavendra, Please go to download section and download the E-Book, "HISTORY OF GURU RAGHAVENDRA" , printed on Paperback by Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mantrlaayam.

Shirdi Sai Baba - How to reach shirdi temple

Shirdi Sai Baba, also known as Sai Baba of Shirdi, was an Indian guru, yogi and fakir who is regarded by his Hindu and Muslim followers as a saint. Some of his Hindu devotees believe that he was an incarnation of Shiva or Dattatreya, and he was regarded as a sadguru and an incarnation of Kabir.

The name 'Sai Baba' is a combination of Persian and Indian origin; Sāī (Sa'ih) is the Persian term for "holy one" or "saint", usually attributed to Islamic ascetics, whereas Bābā is a word meaning "father" used in Indian languages. The appellative thus refers to SaiBaba as being a "holy father" or "saintly father". His parentage, birth details, and life before the age of sixteen are obscure, which has led to a variety of speculations and theories attempting to explain the SaiBaba's origins. In his life and teachings he tried to reconcile Hinduism and Islam: Saibaba lived in a mosque, was buried in a Hindu temple, practised Hindu and Muslim rituals, and taught using words and figures that drew from both traditions. One of his well known epigrams says of God: "Allah Malik" ("God is Master").

HTC One X and One V coming to India in April

HTC announced its 'One' series in Mobile World Congress today and its Indian site says that two of the three phones announced will be coming to India soon.

TC has announced its latest 'One' series of Android based smartphones during the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain. The new smartphones - One X, One S and One V - will feature an amazing camera and authentic sound experience, according to HTC.

Out of the three phones, India is confirmed to be getting One X and One V. Availability of HTC One S is still not known. HTC is likely to introduce these handsets in India in association with Airtel, which in most likelihood is going to offer these handsets with bundled data.

"The best moments in life are captured with a photo or remembered by a song, so it was key for the HTC One series to improve these emotional experiences with an amazing camera and authentic sound experience," said Peter Chou, chief executive officer of HTC Corporation.

HTC One series smartphones will feature Android 4.0 and HTC's new Sense 4 user interface and will now include HTC Image Sense, a new suite of camera and imaging features.

With ImageSense HTC claims that the One series will rival traditional digital cameras with improvements in every part of the camera, including the lens, the sensor, the software, and even integrating a new custom HTC ImageChip. Some improvements include camera being ready in just 0.7 seconds, and 0.2-seconds autofocus, enhancements in image capture quality even in adverse conditions such as low light, no light or with bright backlighting.

A new feature called 'Video Pic' will enable users to capture a photo and shoot video at the same time. Now, while you're shooting HD video, all you have to do is tap the shutter button and it snaps a high-resolution still photo while the video continues to shoot.

HTC has also integrated Dropbox with HTC Sense, and offers 25 GB of online storage for two years. Normally a user only gets 2.5 GB of storage from Dropbox.

On the sound front HTC now has access to technology from beats audio, which it acquired recently and is using it to improve its dwindling market share. Beats audio offers better bass, and richer details.

HTC One X

The HTC One X features a polycarbonate unibody that is claimed to have the ruggedness of metal but is super lightweight. HTC One will come with 1.5 GHz Super 4-PLUS-1 (Quadcore) NVIDIA Tegra 3 Mobile Processor with an integrated fifth Battery Saver Core and a high-performance 12-Core NVIDIA GPU. It also comes with a large 4.7-inch, 720p HD screen with contoured Corning Gorilla Glass.

HTC One S

HTC One S will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with up to 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU. The smartphone has a 4.3-inch screen with contoured Corning Gorilla Glass display.

This phone will have metal unibody styling with just 7.9-mm thickness, making it HTC's thinnest phone yet. The phone uses a new technology - ultra-matte black Ceramic Metal surface, which transforms the surface of the aluminum unibody into a ceramic, super-dense crystalline structure that is four times harder than anodized aluminum, enabling the HTC One S to look great over time.

HTC One V

HTC One V will be the cheapest of the series and will feature a 1 GHz processor, and a 3.7 inch touch screen. It will have a 5 megapixel camera. The phones aluminum unibody design is very similar to HTC Legend. All the other features of the One series like the Android 4.0, HTC Sense 4 and camera and sound enhancements are all available on this phone also..

Windows 8 Release Date

All you waiting for Microsoft Windows 8 release date? Oh yeah, it was quite a long time that we spoke of it. After the CES, where nothing concrete about Windows 8 came up, there’s something cooking up finally for Windows enthusiasts.

The next version of Windows has already generated enough heat in the cyber space. The upgrade from Windows 7 is much talked about already, with techno websites taking a dive into what possibly could be the things Windows 8 could offer.

Needless to say, Windows 7 was one of the most successful releases from Microsoft – after a debacle with its Vista. However, Windows 8 seems to build straight from the interface bliss of 7 and has some awesome features in store for the user.

Windows 8 did not premier in any of the press meets at the CES 2012 and that was something everyone knew would happen. But the Windows 8 interface on a tablet was eye-candy. Microsoft, however, stated that this February would see a milestone public beta release – which fairly puts the Windows 8 release date closer than previously speculated.

In another report, it looks like there has been a mention of the 3-year gap between subsequent releases. The time frame seems to suggest the Windows 8 release date to be quite positively in October as the last release was three years earlier, in October 22nd 2009, when Windows 7 was released.

Windows PR Director Janelle Poole was quoted as saying:

“One of the things that I think is a good guideline though is we’ve always said that Windows releases come round about every three years and this year will be three years in October since we launched Windows 7. So I think that’s a good guideline to consider.”

That ‘good guideline to consider’ has raised a lot of hopes on an October release. So Windows 8 release date – most probably October 2012!
